We almost drove into a toddler when the wildly irresponsible
women in whose care he had been left, allowed him to run across
the road from where their car was parked in the canal walk ground
floor parking lot.
we stopped in time and these women yelled at the oldest of the
children who had been standing with the toddler and other kids.
we demanded to know how they could a) let a toddler run across
the road and b) berate another child for not looking after the toddler
and c) who was the mother
they said it's not their child, he belongs to a neighbour
they apologized and when we tried to tell them that an apology
would mean nothing to us or the kid's parents had we hit him, they
became abusive and yelled at us to "shut up and do your
shopping", "we said sorry, what do you want?!"
the abuse and insults continued and when they drove away we
photographed their car. they thought this hilarious and found it
appropriate - moments after we almost drove over a child in their
care - to yell, "yes take photos, it ls a nice car nè, beautiful car " |
